The Llanfyllin exchange currently supports broadband speeds of up to 6Mbit. Work on bringing fibre high-speed broadband (up to 80Mbit) to the Llanfyllin exchange is due to be available by the end of 2015. More information from Superfast Cymru.

There is no longer an analogue television signal available in Llanfyllin.
The local GSM (2G) service uses the transmitter at Allt-Y-Gadair. You can use Orange, T-Mobile and EE accounts on this mast. As the area is very hilly, signal strength varies considerably.

You can also use the Ofcom Sitefinder site to send an enquiry to the service operator. First search for SY22 5LD then click on the blue marker on the map and then click the enquiry link in the red pop-up box to fill in a form.
Ofcom requires the operator to answer these queries within a week, so make a note of what you asked and the date you asked, and contact Ofcom if you haven’t received a reply.
The mast at Allt-Y-Gadair also provides analogue radio signals for the following stations:

The local mast isn’t yet capable of Digital Radio transmission, though there are apparently plans to upgrade it soon.
The nearest DAB antenna is located at Long Mountain and reception in and around Llanfyllin is VERY spotty. It provides BBC National DAB 12B at 1000W.
