St Myllin’s Church
St Myllin’s Church is the Church in Wales’s Parish Church for Llanfyllin. We are part of a wider Group of three Anglican parishes – Llanfyllin, Bwlch-y-Cibau and Llanwddyn – in this area.
Our Christian ministry, and church building, is for all who live in the local community, whether or not you are church attenders, have Christian, other religious or no faith at all.
The church building is open each day between 0900 and 1700 (approximately) and provides space for peace, quiet, reflection/thinking and prayer – we welcome and encourage all members of the population to make use of it as and when you wish.
There is also much history contained within its walls, and as part of the local Living Stones trail there is information available to assist in touring the church from this perspective. The Vestry is available for hire by outside organisations (2013 price – £20.00 per session [morning, afternoon, evening]). The church tower has six bells which are rung by our team of bell-ringers. If anyone is interested in learning how to do this, please contact us.
We hold services on Thursdays at 1000, and on Sundays at 0930, except for the fourth Sunday of the month when the service is at 1030. In addition we also hold special services at various times throughout the year. Please see the notice-boards outside the church for up-to-date service information.
It is possible for baptisms, weddings and funerals of anyone who lives in the parish to take place in St Myllin’s Church. For further information, or if you live outside the parish but wish to have one of these services in the church, then please contact the Rector, Rev’d Hermione Long.
If you have matters or concerns which you wish to discuss confidentially; queries about the Christian faith and the church’s ministry, or would like someone to visit then please contact us.
