About 200 people now receive the monthly community news-sheet produced by Llanfyllin & District Civic Society which gives listings of local events and information about matters of importance affecting the town and district.
It provides the easiest possible way to advertise a forthcoming event or to comment and update on any development affecting our community – all that is required is a brief email to Dave Goodman The Llanfyllin Library now puts a copy on a display board by the door – thus extending the readership.
Those that read CSNEWS are likely to be involved with the community and take part in local events. Most regular advertisers are groups like Valleys Film Society, Friends of Llanfyllin High School, Arts Connection, Llanfyllin Workhouse, Cain Valley River Group, Llanfyllin & District Civic Society, Dolen Ffermio. Others include Primary School, church, chapels, Flower Club, NSPCC, Town Council, Gymdeithas Gymraeg…
Most regular comment on local developments is about the High School; Wind Farms and associated pylon lines; Llanfyllin Library; North Montgomeryshire Volunteer Bureau; Community Car Scheme; Llanfyllin Group Practice.
So if you consider that those who support or are involved in such activities are likely to be your target audience – or if you would like to hear information about any of the above – then CSNEWS is clearly a good way of contacting them. Please remember that by helping to keep the community informed, we are also helping to bind the community – which must be of increasing importance in the next few years. Knowledge is power.
CSNEWS will become ever more valuable as more people receive it. Will you, therefore, put these two points on your TO DO list:
1 Forward this page to everyone in your Contacts list who you think might be interested in receiving CSNEWS pointing out that all they need to do is send an e-mail to Dave Goodman requesting to be put on the mailing list or tell them about this website llanfyllin.org where anyone can sign up to receive the newsletter. They will then receive regular communications directly to their inbox. Recipients can be assured that e-mail addresses are securely stored and will not be revealed to anyone else.
