A message from Dyfed-Powys Police…
Dyfed-Powys Police have recently undertaken a Rural Policing Consultation to gather the views of the public of Dyfed and Powys to inform the Rural Policing Strategy.
Prior to the consultation closing we would like to ask your views to help inform this consultation to make the most of the experience and knowledge within all our communities.
As you know Dyfed Powys has the most rural communities in England and Wales, and the things that make our area so wonderful also bring policing challenges unique to our area. Preventing and detecting crime is often more difficult as there may be few witnesses, resources may be further away and the isolation may add to the feeling of vulnerability of residents. It is essential that we have a rural policing strategy that ensures we provide the best possible service for everyone.
People living in isolated communities are entitled to the same high standards of policing as those living in more urban areas. One size does not fit all. We must tailor our services to meet the different needs of our communities, areas and businesses.
If you have not already taken part in this consultation, please click on the link below to access the survey and âHave your Sayâ to help us ensure we have your thoughts and comments on rural policing in Dyfed Powys.

Please feel free to forward this email on to colleagues, family and friends who live in the Dyfed-Powys force area to help us ensure we gather the views of as many people as we can to inform our Rural Policing Strategy.
We have a great opportunity to improve and tailor the way we police our communities, get involved and have your say.
Thank you in advance for taking the time to complete the survey.
