UPDATE 07/06/14 : Unfortunately we’ve had to let go of the open air film showing idea and the puppet workshop. The film will probably take place later in the summer though.
The 4th annual St Myllin’s Celebrations in Llanfyllin are taking shape. From 11am to 1pm on Saturday 14 June there will be the usual succesful free brunch, parade by Masquerade, church tower tours and stalls by local organisations.
New additions this year are:
- a performance space organised by Arts Connection with drama, singing and spoken word by local artitsts;
- an exhibition of baptism and wedding photos in St Myllin’s Church;
- hopefully a free children’s workshop in making puppets of St Myllin with which they can later perform a short play in the performance space;
- and weather permitting there will be a free open air film showing in the square in the evening.
Check the posters and the A-frame in the square closer to the date for more information. Especially for the film goers the Sunday service at St Myllin’s Church will start later than usual at 10.30am. Followed by the bells ringing a full peal in the afternoon to commemorate their 300th anniversary.
Come and join in celebrating Llanfyllin and its people!
