Llanwddyn Sports Club started in April 2018 – it was noted that living in such a rural part of Wales, access to sports facilities was minimal. It was decided that better use could be made of the community centre facilities to improve the health and well-being of residents and visitors to Llanwddyn.
After successfully receiving funds for new equipment, the club are in a position to run Badminton, 5 Aside Football, Table Tennis, Netball, Basket Ball, Volley Ball, Keep Fit and indoor Cricket.
The club runs every Monday and Thursday evening from 7:00pm, its open to all from ages 8 to 80. Its very relaxed and most often everyone decides together what they want to play on the night. Usually its a combination of 2 or 3 options and they ensure everyone can be involved who come along.
Currently the most popular being Netball, Five Aside Football, Volley ball and Table Tennis …but as the summer engages with us… this may become more of an outdoor preference..
Its fabulous watching everyone playing together, regardless of age and speed! Its great fun and a super way of getting fit.
If you fancy joining in, then get yourself along on Monday or Thursday. You can register your details on the night. Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to register. You can stay and watch or leave them with the club organisers and come back for them later.
