LLANFYLLIN TOWN COUNCIL
Tenders are invited to undertake
the following duties
On behalf of Llanfyllin Town Council
commencing April 2018
Grass Cutting and
Maintenance of General Amenity Areas
at St Myllins Well, Powys County Council Offices
and Children’s Playground.
Cleaning of War Memorial.
Planting and Care of Flower troughs
Hedge Cutting in Llanfyllin Town Car Park
And other general maintenance tasks as required.

Eight grass cuts per season are required at the above areas.
Power washing of the War Memorial, situated on the Town Square, is required annually, prior to Remembrance Sunday.
Planting and Care of Flower Troughs in Llanfyllin:
Each Autumn: the troughs need emptying of old summer bedding plants and topped up with new compost and planted with daffodil bulbs. The tender should include pricing for labour, bulbs and compost for this task.
Each Spring: the tubs need emptying of old daffodils, which are to be re planted around the Town. Following that, planting up planters and hanging baskets in Llanfyllin (not outside the Institute building) is required, with spring bedding plants. The Tender should include the price for bedding plants, labour and compost. Local suppliers must be given the opportunity to quote for bulbs, bedding plants and compost.
Hedge cutting of fenced areas near the Youth and Community Centre, St Myllin’s Well, Llanfyllin Town Car Park are required on an annual basis in the Autumn. The tender should include the cost for the removal of cuttings.
The tender should also state an hourly cost for any additional general maintenance work, e.g. gathering leaves in the Children’s play area in the Autumn.
Supervision of this contract will be under the authority of one or more councillors, nominated from time to time by Llanfyllin Town Council.
Evidence of a minimum £1 million Public Liability Insurance is required. All equipment, transport and fuel are to be provided by the Contractor.
Terms of Contract:
This contract will be subject to a retendering process for the year 2021 but may be cancelled, by 6 months notice in writing on either side.
Applications to be submitted to the clerk, in a sealed envelope, marked Tender, no later than 12th March 2018. The contract will commence at the beginning of the new financial year, beginning April 5th, 2018.
